Huskies & Happiness

I just got back from a great trip to Breckenridge, Colorado with 30+ family members...no, that's not a typo. In celebration of my twin brothers graduation, my Mom and Dad's family all travelled to Colorado for a skiing adventure! I love my family and am very close to all of them and have such amazing memories. I love to ski, and there will be more to come on the town and our fun ski stories, but one of my FAVORITE things we did was hands down dog sledding. It was seriously so much fun and a definite to-do in Colorado. I couldn't wait to share all of the pictures of these beautiful dogs...wish I could have met all 165 of them that they have there!

The First Meeting= Pure Happiness.

I couldn't get over how friendly and sweet these Siberian Huskies were.

Selfies with the Siberians.

He was even smiling :)

About The Dog Sledding Experience

My mom and I had a blast together and the trails we went through were gorgeous. While our first two dog sled volunteers started out behind us, we rode in a sleigh pulled by a snowmobile driven by our guide, Ike. Who, by the way, knows all 165 dogs as if they were his own children. *Claps for Ike and his impressive memory*

The views felt and looked like a fairytale. There are about 20 miles of trails throughout the place in the Rocky Mountains we went and it was an incredible view along the way.

"MOM! IT'S OUR TURN!"

We were a tad excited, a little scared and really giggly as we hopped aboard our new ride led by 8 gorgeous huskies. We had about 10 seconds of sled training from Ike which made me really nervous...but it was surprisingly easy to drive the sled and really peaceful. (Except when you heard the words "hike it up!" from the guide. This means you are going up a steep hill and have to step off the rails you stand on and run so the dogs can pull you easier...this part was not so peaceful. More so because the air is so thin in the high altitude which makes it hard to breath.) But besides that we laughed the whole way and are basically dog sledding champions now. *Makes a mental note to re-watch Balto*

We went dog sledding at Good Times Adventures, about 30 minutes from Breckenridge...defintely check them out and put dog sledding on your to-do list on your next winter vacation!

Can't wait to be reunited with my husky friends! Thanks for reading All Kinds of Vibes!
