Cinque Terre, Italy (part 1)

Following Milan and Venice on our two week Italian vacation, we headed to beautiful Cinque Terre, Italy! It's a little bit off the beaten path but it was seriously one of the BEST places I've ever visited. Don't let this one sit on your bucket list, go! And invite me....because I can't wait to go back :)

Cinque Terre

This part of Italy is a tad more rural and a little less tourist friendly, as in less English and more Italian. Insert Liam Nesson saying "good luck" while we tried to navigate our way to where we were staying in Corniglia. There are five towns in the Cinque (five in Italian) Terre area: Monterosso, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola and Riomaggiore.

Where We Stayed

We decided to rent out a condo in Corniglia so the six of us could all be together and have some space to all spread out. When we finally arrived, we were absolutely swooning over how amazing the views were. Our three story condo had a great rooftop balcony that overlooked a wine vineyard, all of Cinque Terre's brightly colored houses and the Ligurian Sea.

Explore

We didn't really have any agenda in Cinque Terre other than to just explore! After we got settled in our condo we set out to walk throughout the town and as soon as we turned the corner we couldn't pass on this sign.

This little cafe was right beneath our condo (we got lucky because we were able to pick up their wi-fi....a rare find in Italy) and the sign didn't lie, they really were so yummy! We ended up eating dinner here and went back for breakfast the next morning. We had fun making friends with the owners and learning more about Cinque Terre. We spent the rest of the night exploring and soaking in all of the town's beauty.

The Blue Path

One thing that we really were looking forward to was hiking on the Blue Path. It is a trail that connects the towns in Cinque Terre. We started in Corniglia and headed towards Vernazza. We had so much fun and it was so amazing hiking on the coast of Italy. Seriously such an unforgettable adventure!

Vernazza

Our hike ended in the town of Vernazza we stopped at a cute little restaurant at the top of the town to soak in more of the amazing scenery. The food was so good and so fresh, look how pretty the produce looks below. Afterwards we spent the day wandering throughout the town.

We sat by this boat dock for a while just enjoying the beautiful day right before taking a boat ride over to the next town, Monterosso. Stay tuned for part two on our Cinque Terre trip, coming up next on the blog!

Ciao and thanks for reading All Kinds Of Vibes // Megan
