Ciao, Travel Lovers! :) Don’t forget to catch up on Part One of Cinque Terre here.

Cinque Terre, Italy

Well I saved the best of our Cinque Terre trip for last. When we were researching the places to go in Cinque Terre we had read Monterosso had the best beach. So we obviously couldn't wait to come here :) We were staying in the middle of the five towns, Corniglia, and made our way to Monterosso on Day 2 of our stay in Cinque Terre. We started by hiking to Vernazza on the Blue Path and decided to take a boat ride over to the next town, Monterosso after our hike. We were surprised to find out that the beach was a rock beach which I had never seen before! Keep this in mind if you ever go and make sure to come prepared to walk on and lay on the rocks. Don't worry, the views totally make up for it! We couldn't wait to come back the next day and spend all day at the beach!

THE WATER

H2O never looked so good. I still remember feeling so blessed to have spent these days on the coast of Italy with some of my best friends! Once we got used to the cold water, we had so much fun swimming in the clear, beautiful water.

THE WATER SPORTS

The beach had a place where you could rent paddle boards and kayaks for just a few Euros so we decided to rent both...because, why not? So Shahaley and Jessica attempted the paddle board first while Alex and I took the kayak (we played it safe first and were laughing so hard watching them try paddle baording. Don't worry, karma is real and they got their laughs in watching Alex and I try to do it later.)

Kayaking was so much fun! After paddling out into the ocean, we decided to get out and swim for a little bit. Since it's saltwater, you are really buoyant and can just lay back and float- it's such a cool feeling! While kayaking was so relaxing and fun, paddle boarding was a different story and it turns out I'm not that great. I blame it on laughing so hard and eventually turned it over to Alex because she was definitely the more coordinated and balanced one.

THE MERMAIDS

Just kidding, there are none. But we felt like some after swimming out to some big rocks that we could climb up on and jump off of! It was very "Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants" :)

THESE DRINKS

So during our adventure on the Monterosso beach, we happened to stumble upon a Texas girls dream. This bar near the beach was literally perfect. We found it because they were BLARING Luke Bryan music and we saw people walking away with the most delicious looking drinks- so we obvs had to check it out. We ended up meeting two amazing girls also on a girls trip to Italy and had so much fun with them!

Cinque Terre To Do

Overall, Cinque Terre was amazing. We made so many new friends, felt like mermaids, drank the best mojitos, played soccer on the beach (how Italian, right?), went kayaking, hiked The Blue Path, ate amazing food, listened to Luke Bryan in Monterosso, watched the sun set on the coast of Italy and made the best memories. It seriously still gives me the travel bug. I would hands down put this on your bucket list ASAP!
