Reliving #Rio2016

In honor of the end of the Olympic Games, I wanted to share a few of my favorite things from the Olympics. If you follow me on Twitter it's pretty much all I've posted about for 2 weeks. For years, I have been obsessed with the Olympics and am always so emotional watching the triumphs and hearing the stories of all of these athletes. I also love that the whole world essentially comes together in a spirit of fun competition and to me it feels like a brief moment of World Peace :) (Insert more sappy feelings about the Olympics.) Moving on... here are my favorite memories from the Olympics!

Zac Efron + Simone Biles = <3

How cute were these two? Zac didn't even have to compete in anything to win the Gold medal in our hearts. His support of Simone and the #FinalFive was literally so sweet.

Michael Phelps.

GOAT. #23. Sooooo, can you come back for #Tokyo2020? Please?

Boomer Phelps.

Winner of Best Dressed in Rio 2016 & literally the cutest baby ever. If you didn't know, you can follow his cuteness on Instagram @boomerrphelps. You're welcome.

Slay, Simones.

*Adds the name Simone to potential baby names.* Along with everyone else. Loved watching Simone Manuel and Simone Biles both take home the Gold(s).

Finger Wags.

Lilly King, you are my hero. Love that you made a stand for what is right and fair. You go girl.

Winner's Focus on Winning.

Don't be a Le Clos. Be a Phelps. Focus on yourself and your goals and not on others. Let the losers focus on you ;)

"It's what you do in the dark that puts you in the light."

Under Armor won my vote for the best Olympic campaign. Michael Phelps stars in this spot that shows us hard work happens in the dark and not many people may see how much effort you put in. That's okay because the work you put in will eventually pay off and put you in the light one day and you'll be recognized for it :)

There were so many more and I'm sad the Olympics are over but I'm already looking forward to 2020 :) I had my very own Olympic moment this weekend when I completed my first ever 10K race. I finished in 1:02 and felt so accomplished! My dad, cousin and best friend all ran on Saturday in preparation for our half marathon in November. I even got a medal and everything, so I'm basically a real Olympian too.

Thanks for reading All Kinds of Vibes!
